When I bought if from the Bay it had google and all the bits worked I could even check my bank and make payments.
I decided to do a factory reset. It then became totally chinese. I changed the language to UK read and downloaded ODIN
and reflashed the correct firmware. Good I hear you say. I loaded my usual apps using 3rd party installer and the phone is
quite useable.....but it does not have Google it says device not recognised when attempting to do anything google.
Is there a fix for this
Could you provide us more info about you device?
- Device name
- Model number
By the way, I suggest you to flash stock firmware which can fix and prevent your device from software problems.
Hello layhok363 happy new year. thanks for reply
samsung galaxy on 5 SM-G5500 lollopop 5.1.1 ARM operating system 320 dpi. I have used ODIN to flash firmware
G5500ZCU1APK1 from this site. Region is China. Earlier i tried G5500ZCU1AQB2 this also worked. but no google sign in.
The odd thing is it was ok until I thought i would improve it with a reset hmm. phone is good apart from no Google System or whatever it is called. I have loaded Google apps on a earlier flash but Google does not see phone properly although I can read my gmail using Chrome. There may be a custom firmware somewhere or a Google patch. I did think to root it with Kingroot but Laptop/ win 10 does not recognise phone. ODIN is fine. I have the latest Samsung drivers. I am a moderate user so may not understand everything.
Update. As the only way to get this phone to do things my was was to Root it. I tried Kingroot and while it had a go it said that
this model was not supported. After looking into this KR said they are working on this model, so I will keep KR on my phone and see if there is a fix.
