DroidWiz37 You're right though.... I mean it's easy for someone to leak a malicious image file, and it could turn into a virus in an instant.
DroidWiz37 But what makes you think people want to still live on the edge? The vicious cycle of threats continues and phone users don't want that burden. If antivirus programs would evolve any time soon, such things would not be such a concern.
I've wondered the same before... Do they just ensure it will corrupt within a couple years just so you can buy more... Ugh and feature creeping as well - makes me sick.
IDK base, but it's a bit outta hand.
its happening again with the new flash malware thingy i saw a story on
warrior_7 for that, it's like a million or so phones with a backdoor, different from the "flash thingy."
DipStick I think you guys mean FalseGuide: http://thehackernews.com/2017/04/android-malware-playstore.html
allurbase Thanks, I think that was it.
Oh I get it... Well that's just rude!
It still fails to make sense that malware can get onto Linux... where's the explanation in that?
does this affect the iphone?????
bingdom I don't think this one does, bing.
MightyMouse ok thx
serves em right... Androids need to be more secure
hagoromo yeah they do... if there is a vulnerability... someone will come along and find it eventually I'm sure
IndyPhone thanks... yeah it's getting odd that updates aren't coming to my phone anymore. :}
kchallenger You should have seen my first phone... a $40 phone... I ended up having over half of the space taken up by crap apps, and could only install at most 6 apps. Unbelievable!
Rykosuke yikes... sorry to hear that
Wow, thanks for the info guys
kchallenger it's okay bud
Seems the same cycle of viruses has been going on for the past 20 years... Oh when will it end...
nougatmagnet I know.. when? Ugh
nougatmagnet really? scary then... i don't think it'll stop... if real viruses never stop, then maybe digital ones just as bad or worse
