I had to reset my phone to factory settings for personal reasons and now i cannot connect to my wifi anymore. When I type my password, I can't press connect. Can you help?
What kind of phone are you using? I will see if I can help you out. I had this issue before and it was down to updates. I had to update my phone again to enable wifi for some reason.
lavanderrush my phone is a tecno y2
Without knowing the phone/specs I can't help you out. Have you tried taking the battery out for 5 minutes and putting it back in or maybe doing the same with the ssd if you use one?
Have you tried resetting your router? Sometimes the firewall on a router can block out a device is one small change has been made. It is worth trying this. I am not familiar with the tecno y2 phone but it is worth testing your router.
You were able to connect before the factory reset which is implying one of two things... Your phone didn't reset properly or your router is messing with you. As mentioned, do a restart on your router. Do a hard one if you can (this will change the IP) and see how that does for you.
I agree about it sounding more like a router issue than a phone issue. If it doesn't fix the problem post back and I will see what else you can try for you phone.
I am going to assume your solved the issue since you haven't responded. I had the same thing happen to me last year and it was my router's firewall. When you reset your phone like this, it sometimes comes up as a new device and your router may lock it out.
friendlyfire86 Happened to me too. Had to go into the firewall of my router and disable it to allow my phone to re-sync with the wifi. I think it depends on the brand of router you use too.
